Warm, Intimate Wedding at the Country Club of Lincoln

Gabby + Clayton’s Wedding Day was definitely one to remember! It was such a gift to weave all of these special moments together for the two of them, especially amongst backdrop of such a gorgeous day.

A warm, country-inspired wedding video of an intimate and romantic couple, filmed at Christ Lutheran Church the Country Club of Lincoln.

While a picture is worth a thousand words, a wedding film tells an entire story.

Wedding photos are so important, but wedding films say even more than photos can - and I think this wedding video is a perfect example!

Take Clayton, for example. Clayton is a quiet, humble man of faith who doesn’t want to be the center of attention. Hearing how his family and friends describe him, and the stories they share about him and Gabby, taught me so much about their relationship!

Gabby and her mom, Jennifer, put so much thought and time into every wedding day detail, which of course were fun to film and highlight. But each of those details says something about the couple, too, and I love pairing pretty details with emotional audio from the wedding day. Whether it was Gabby & her dad’s first look, or Clayton’s awestruck gasp as he saw Gabby walking down the aisle, these are moments I will never get tired of capturing!

It’s so important to me to find music that fits the couple’s tastes and the vibe of their wedding, and I am SO happy with the song I found to close out their wedding film. While most of the music in their wedding film is instrumental, in order to overlay audio from the day, their last song has some lyrics I included. The lyric that spoke most to me from this song was this:

“I’ll love you the same today as I did in colder weather.”

I love this lyric for the sentiment, because I’m sure it rings true for Gabby + Clayton. I also think it’s just an adorable nod to the fact that Gabby moved up to Fargo, ND because she was in love with Clayton, so they very much do bear the brunt of colder weather together! It’s a lovely analogy, that the two of them have already weathered much and will continue to stick together through the storms and winters of life.

Gabby + Clay, thank you so much for allowing Heart & Light Co. to be part of capturing your wedding day. May God continue to bless the two of you in your marriage, and may your hearts always rest in His Light!
