Romantic Midwest Wedding Film

I always show up on a wedding day feeling like I know the couple - but with Maggie and Adam, after witnessing their incredible vows and hearing so many testimonies of love from their friends and family, I truly feel like I’ve known them for years!

As I put together their wedding film, I was struck by how beautiful their wedding was - not because of the incredible florals or the perfect palette, but because of the sincerity and truth behind the vows they wrote each other.

“You make me feel heard and seen.”

“You see the best in me. When I get down on myself or feel like I’ve failed in some way, you are quick to remind me of the good you see in me.”

“I promise to always protect you from harm, and look to you when I need protection.”

“I promise to always fight for you, and never against you.”

“I can’t promise I will always be the perfect husband, but I can promise to love you through the good times and the bad, through sickness and in health, and that I will always be by your side.”

“I will grow old with you, and never stop growing with you.”

“And when life is done and the sun is setting, may they be found, then as now, hand in hand, still thanking God for each other.”

Some of my favorites from their wedding day:

  • The Backstreet Boys references :)

  • Their ring bearer picking up flower petals on his way down the aisle

  • I absolutely love the opening shot of Maggie with the little white country church in the background.

  • In Adam’s vows, he talked about how Maggie let him carve their initials in a table on one of their dates, and how that was the moment he knew he wanted this love forever. Fittingly, their cake was crafted to look like a birch tree with their initials etched into the front.

  • I loved the entire aesthetic of Maggie + Adam’s wedding - the dusty rose and sage green, the romantic and wild florals, the classic country church and the beautiful reception hall… everything was wildly beautiful. At the end of the day, though, I found myself reflecting on how - even more than all of these things put together - the beauty from their day rested in who they are as people. The vows they wrote to each other, the ways their friends and family described them, their genuine love that radiated through them and onto all of those around them — this is what I desire to capture and display in every film I make.

Maggie + Adam, what a blessing to know you. Thank you for letting me capture this small glimpse into the vast love you share with each other and will continue to share with the rest of world.
